Ann Johnson worked as a Program Leader (Staff Assistant) for the Y Afterschool Program under my direction for three years. Her job duties included: preparing clubs three days a week including club plans, monitoring homework, supervision of students, and engaging the students in healthy practices.
We held family nights for parents several times during the year and she was instrumental in these events. She planned and directed our Christmas Program for the parents one year and had her drama club perform their plays for the students and parents as well. Her artistic talents helped us execute two very successful art galleries that the entire school attended as well as our parents and students.
She was a very reliable employee and I could depend on her to be there every day. She expected appropriate behavior in her students which helped them perform to the best of their abilities and helped keep unwanted behavior at bay.
